Written to be Spoken @MAPS+S
Written to be Spoken, hosted by Edhea, MAPS (Master of Arts in Public Spheres + Sound), took place over three intensive days as a workshop focused on performance, sound, and writing. Participants explored the history of text-based performance and were introduced to performance theory concepts such as liminal/liminoid, restored behavior, and performative utterance.Participants practiced site-specific writing, gathering at a site to gaze and contemplate the landscape as a departure point for writing. They considered scores, notations, and instructions, enabling scripts to be delegated among them for collective performance and recording sessions.
