Ash MonizA Kinetopsia, this work is a multimedia performance that untangles the abstract theatricalities of surveilling trade and trading surveillance. Through overlapping the correlations between transcribed interviews, legal documents, and corporate media, attributions of value and threat are performatively woven together on a semi-fictional stage-set.
-An artist whose work spans between video, performance, and installation, and whose research intersects between transportation logistics and archiving citizenship. Recent exhibitions include Dakar Biennale (Dakar), Berlinale (Berlin), Townhouse Gallery (Cairo), and Sishang Museum (Beijing). Moniz participated in the Mass Alexandria Program, and was a fellow at CILAS.

Ahmed NagyWakeel, is a project embodies scenes from reality that works the audience is exposed to the world through an Inclusiveness scene, which brings different fragments together in its output, which conceived with a taste for the irrational. they build a universe that has gone not aligned or balanced unconventional or eccentric. Like illogical perceptions or dreams, familiar elements stem out of reality with non-linear pattern.

Farah BarqawiBABA, Come To Me, In a letter written to a curious friend, a rediscovery of a relationship between a father and daughter begins. Through cassette recordings and personal reflections, a daughter attempts to understand the feelings and behavior of a man towards his child who has now become a woman. This woman navigates a love-hate relationship, opposing choices, a shattered Palestinian family, a distant father, and reconciliation.

Farah is a writer, performer, translator, editor, and a feminist activist. She was born in Damascus, and currently lives in Cairo. In between, she lived in Gaza, Dubai, Chicago, and Beirut. She writes poetry, prose, and articles mainly in Arabic. She has published literary pieces in print editions such as Closet Writers, If Not for that Wall, and And We Chose Everything. She co-leads the Wiki Gender project; a participatory feminist open Wiki in the field of gender, feminism, and women’s issues in Arabic.

Mahmoud Atif When Obscenity Was a Normal Routine in Our Songs” The lecture performance dissects the bourgeois values on the table of language, by searching through their bare layers that were ubiquitous in wedding songs in villages, through the performer’s personal experiences within his rural family.

Mahmoud is a poet, Arabic calligraphy artist, and independent cultural journalist. He was born in December 1983 in Nagrig village, Basioun province, in the governorate of Gharbiyya. He loves Amr Diab and fears the sea. His first collection of poems Peasant of this Era was published by Rawafed in August 2014. His second collection of poems At the Edge of World won the second award in the literarypoetry competition of Cairo’s Literature Journal Akhbar El-Adab in 2016 and will be published soon.

Seba Ali MahmoudThe replicators, the performance is a text based one, while asking the audience to think about one word, giving them different mediums cubes. Then I start to read the text and to move in a liberrary, to be interrupted by the interaction of the audience, by saying one word -as error in the text- that I asked them to think about in the beginning with the cubes. The cubes mediums are gelatin, wooden and cement, made from the same mold, even though they were never the same, neither did the received words.

Seba Ali was born in Cairo, Egypt 1985 where she lived and worked. She received her BFA in painting from the faculty of Fine Arts 2007 in Cairo, and her MA in Arts in Public Sphere 2020 in École de design et haute école d’art du Valais, in Sierre, Switzerland. Seba practice spans the mediums of performance, painting, sculpture, writing, installation, interactive games and interdisciplinary approaches.

A multidisciplinary Egyptian artist, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo, Egypt. Graphic section, printable designs division, 2009. Her background in design has informed her approach as a visual artist and her fascination with the process of creating symbols and codes, transformed her artworks to become a symbol itself or a code for audience to decode, in somewhat a game she force them to be involved in.
